We love animals! Learn more about the staff of Jo-Mar along with some of our favorite friends.

Amanda, also known as “Mander”, is balancing her third year of pet grooming at Jo-Mar with collegiate studies that will lead ultimately to a degree in nursing or veterinary science. When she’s not strumming her guitar and enjoying her music, Mander loves to provide a little TLC at home on weekends to any of the pets who might occasionally be abandoned at the shop.

Blanca has been grooming for 8 years, and the perfectionist in her is always striving to do better. Perhaps that’s why she’s called “Scott Junior”. Blanca loves animals (especially her Staffolshire terrier “Pinky and the Brain”) and her job at Jo-Mar, but has also found a passion for music and video games as well.

Cathy shares 4 pets and many of the same interests (i.e. dirt bikes) with her husband Scott, and her 21 years of grooming give Cathy and Scott a combined half-century of experience. When not in attendance at an Aerosmith concert, Cathy busies herself with her duties as vice president of the Covert Avenue Chamber of Commerce and throwing parties – the bigger, the better. Oh yes, and she loves Jo-Mar’s new website!
Scott has been grooming pets for 31 years, which isn’t surprising for a man who owns 2 bulldogs, a Labrador retriever and a cat! “Scottso” (as he’s called) is a fan of hot rods, dirt bikes and tattoos when he’s not spending time on his other loves – gardening, decorating, cooking and cleaning. His many years of experience have given him a boatload of stories and memories (all of them good ones) – but that’s for another day!
Stephanie is quite the eclectic animal lover, with her own pets ranging from a dachshund (Dottie) to African grey parrot (Cutie Pie) to Argentine horned frog (Frankie) - and that's not counting lizards, fish, rabbits and hamsters from years gone by. Steph is also a guitarist and drummer who loves concerts and the X-box (but not at the same time), and enjoys spending time with her family and friends -as well as with Jo-Mar's boarders before work hours. A sports enthusiast on top of everything else, Steph loves to meet people and speak with them - language is no obstacle!
